Goals of the=20 Policy:

To promote = positive=20 cheering behaviors among all spectators and fans.=20
To increase the = level of=20 understanding among spectators and fans of the importance of creating = a=20 positive and supportive environment for minor hockey=20 participants.=20
To reduce or = eliminate=20 abusive behavior towards all Players, Coaches, Managers, Assistants, = AMHA=20 Board Members, and Tournament Volunteers.=20
To reduce or = eliminate=20 abusive behavior from Airdrie Minor Hockey = Association activities, which will include = tournaments,=20 exhibition and league games and practices. =

Definition of = Abusive=20 Behavior:

Disrespectfully = disputes=20 or argues any decision made by an official.=20
Uses obscene or = vulgar=20 language in a boisterous manner at anyone at any time.=20
Aggressive = behavior,=20 including threats and attempts to intimidate, throwing of articles in = a=20 deliberate or aggressive manner, aggressively approaches another = individual=20 and physical violence of another individual.=20
Coaches, and = other team=20 officials, players, parents and fans are not permitted in the = official=E2=80=99s=20 dressing room, nor are they permitted to confront game officials about = the=20 game. Entering the = official=E2=80=99s=20 dressing room or confronting an official will be considered abusive=20 behavior.=20
Coaches, and = other team=20 officials, players, parents and fans are not permitted to = confront off-ice=20 officials about the game, including the official Time-keeper(s), = official=20 Score-keeper(s) and other off-ice officials located in the = Time-keeper=E2=80=99s=20 area. Confronting = off-ice=20 officials will be considered abusive behavior. =

Policy:

Membership and=20 participation in AMHA activities is a=20 privilege not a right. =20 Members, Players and participants are required to abide by the = Bylaws,=20 Rules and Policies of the Association and their behavior is expected = to mirror=20 the spirit of the Bylaws, Rules and Policies of this = Code.=20
AMHA has = adopted a=20 behavioral stance against persons who feel they need to harass, = insult,=20 threaten or assault other persons at a game where AMHA members are=20 involved.=20
All members, = fans and=20 participants of the Association shall respect the game of hockey and = shall=20 behave in a manner so as not to make a travesty of the game.
AMHA will not = tolerate=20 loud, obscene, obnoxious Coaches, Managers, Assistants, Players, = Parents or=20 Fans. Such individuals = will be=20 subject to disciplinary action.=20
If a person is = identified=20 or reported to be in violation of the Zero Tolerance Policy, that = person (and=20 their child(ren)) could be subject to disciplinary action being taken = by the=20 Association as provided in the By-laws of the Association, which may = include=20 suspension from ANY AND ALL AMHA activity for the remainder of = the=20 season.
